Consumption of sea fish, which is rich in protein and omega-3 fatty acids, is beneficial for health. However, excessive consumption can lead to increased saturated fat intake and higher cholesterol levels. Fishermen, who produce fish daily, often consume their catch more than three times a day. Based on interviews with fishermen who have been in the profession for over 5 years, the study aims to determine the relationship between sea fish consumption and total cholesterol levels in fishermen from Tamberu Timur Village. The study employs a quantitative approach with an analytical observational design and a cross-sectional study. The population consists of fishermen from Tamberu Timur Village. A probability sampling technique was used, resulting in 33 respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results revealed that 20 respondents (60.7%) had high cholesterol levels, while 13 respondents (39.3%) had normal cholesterol levels. Data analysis using SPSS showed a p-value of 0.005 (<0.05), leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H1). This indicates a significant relationship between sea fish consumption and cholesterol levels among fishermen in Tamberu Timur Village.
